GONG ZINE FA CAI is a Lunar New Year Zine I made in collaboration with one of my best friends, Kimberly Chou.15 years of friendship is in this zine, along with a dumpling dough recipe, some sassy Chinese horoscopes for year of the Metal Ox, things to put on your altar…and lots of puns. (“There’s dumpling you should know…”) In a time when there has been so much hostility against Asians during Covid, it was exceptionally meaningful to make something that lifted up and celebrated our heritage - while giggling nonstop and dancing to a lot of BTS. May the year of the Metal Ox bring us more growth, abundance, and a less static year than last!
